2009 Montréal International Auto Show:
Only two days left!

two (2) days remain to experience the 41st Edition of the Montréal International Auto Show (MIAS). The event will officially close its doors at the Palais des congrès de Montréal on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 8 p.m. Already, over 90 % of visitors surveyed said they were extremely pleased with their visit and more than 70 % mentioned they intend to come back next year. So, for those who have yet to attend, this weekend marks your final chance to take in this exciting event!
And we also celebrate hockey this week-end! Present yourself at the Palais des congrès ticket counters wearing your favourite hockey team logo and pay only $10 to visit the Auto Show! You will save up to $5 on a regular admission fee.
Here are some of the incredible things you will find at this year’s event:
- 37 vehicle unveilings: 2 North-American premieres, 34 Canadian premieres and 1 special presentation.
- TheThis exhibit also features a collection of rockin’ 50’s models! As well, visitors will be able to admire a gorgeous ensemble of 10 classic convertibles... talk about eye candy! This attraction will undoubtedly stir up some fond memories for some of our older guests!
7th Heaven, where breathtaking vehicles are presented for the unadulterated pleasure of the eyes and to excite the imagination of car lovers everywhere. Everyone will find something to dream about in this little slice of heaven! - The
Innovation – Evolution exhibit tips its hat to vehicles that, due to their beautiful designs or uniqueness, have left a lasting impression on the world. Some people will get to relive the past, while the younger generation will finally get to feast their eyes on some of the models they have always only heard about. Additionally, this exhibit will feature three futuristic vehicles from the innovative Swedish manufacturer Rinspeed; including the popular “Splash”, a car which literally glides on water! You won’t want to miss this attraction! - The opportunity to
test drive some of the newest vehicle models, a premier at this year’s Auto Show, is an extremely popular feature with visitors who are looking to experience for themselves the benefits provided by the latest technological breakthroughs. Ten (10) new vehicle models are available for visitors to try out; absolutely free of charge (certain conditions apply). On Route to a Greener Future is the perfect place to learn all about the new innovations, as well as the ongoing evolution, of all the various new green technologies being offered today. This eco-friendly exhibit keeps growing in popularity with each passing year. Visit the Hydro-Quebec booth to admire the Tata, a 100% electric vehicle from the Indian manufacturer, powered by the engine from the Quebec company, TM4.- Thrill seekers will be, well, thrilled to have the opportunity to admire some of the Dragster vehicles of Québec pilot Dan Mercier. These are the very same cars that have allowed their pilot to become the first Quebecer and Canadian to ever win a championship in the dragster high-speed circuit. Here is your chance to see these incredible vehicles, which can go 0-60/mph in approximately 0.8 seconds!
